Stephanie McGee

30 Years of Cross-Disciplinary Experience

I’m Stephanie McGee. For the past 30 years, I’ve done work that most people specialize into one lane.

I grew up in Juneau, Alaska — where you learn early that if you don’t figure things out yourself, they don’t get figured out. That mindset carried through an AA in Management, a BBA in Accounting, and a JD from law school in Hawaii, into a career that moved from San Diego courtrooms and boardrooms to the Pacific Northwest, where I most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Burgerville.

Legal, Financial, and Operational Background

Along the way, I’ve been a practicing attorney (California-licensed), a financial leader providing in depth forensic accounting service, CHRO and VP of HR, risk and security advisor, and small business counselor — often several at the same time. I also ran a San Diego law firm for 14 years, doing exactly what McGee Strategic Advisors does today: helping founders and growing businesses operate smarter, stay out of trouble, and grow with confidence.
